Hmm... Why different?
Atlast found some time to scribe something... It's been travel all these times and trying to get settled and ofcourse, am still trying...:)
While I was finding ways to travel, smethings came up like - I was looking for the rates to fly from Chennai to Hyderabad and back - And came up with so many rates like SpiceJet is offering a flight journey for Rs.99/- while KingFisher is offering the same distance for around Rs. 2700/-. Well, all the other airlines like Indian Airlines, Air Deccan do fall inbetween.
So, why is such a price difference? Can people fly for Rs.99/-. That's like USD2!!:) How can SpiceJet operate for profit? If that is the price, then would ever people want to drive or atleast take a train to go from Chennai to Hyderabad? Is there any customer service difference in flights like SpiceJet and KingFisher? Time to learn the Indian Air market, I guess!

I have never flown SpiceJet but I can say about Air Deccan. It is never on time. Well you would be lucky if the flight is not canceled. They do not keep you updated about the delay too. Have to wait for hours at the airport.
There are no frills but that is expected from a low cost airline. But atleast they could keep the airline clean.
Anyway with the 99 INR price tag there would be a lot of hidden charges and taxes. Plus you have to book way in advance to get that rates.
hey, i am currently in Mumbai. came here thru spice jet. its good. it was on time, just that they dont serve food but there's cost to consider. why spend a 1000 or 2000 bucks more just for food.
i really dont think airlines can offer tickets at that rates..
not all tickets atleast..
just the first 5 or the first 15 passengers would be in a good position to do this..!!
that is becuase.. ATF (Avian Turbine Fuel) itself costs more than 99 * 100(passengers) for a distance like 1000 km..!!
this must be a marketing tactic.. thats all..
they rates would increase to atleast 10 times in the times to come..!!
and speaking of delays.. airlines are way better than railways anyday..!!
