Cause Alone Matters...

It is a match for charity. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be called a ODI because the game was played for 10 overs. But looks like ICC have declared this to be one and everywhere its the news about Sachin Tendulkar returning to international arena with a 'not out' 50 runs!

Whatever it is, what matters is how the people at Oval responded, how the players entertained and how much the game collected for the cause. Though it was a gloomy & rainy evening, people from different cultures & countries waited, got drenched in rain and enjoyed one great entertainment. The total collections also poured to £250,000! Most of them are going for Kashmir Quake Victims!

The match is between International XI & Pakistan. The runrates are more than the Australia-SA 434 runs match:) It was totally 124 runs in 10 overs by International XI with Sachin - 50 (26B, 8*4, 1*6) and Dhoni - 35 (13B). And 'Boom Boom' Afridi stood by his name - 42 (12 balls with 22 runs in first 4 balls) and won the game for Pakistan!

With such a non stop entertainment, the audience would have been more than satisfied with every pound they spent on a noble cause!

now this is so dumb on FIFA's part. I can't believe that Fabio cannavaro wasn't awarded the golden ball. He played far better than Zizou.
