•Step 1
Develop your self-confidence and be secure in who you are as a person. Control your attitude above all. A successful CEO trains himself (if he's not naturally this way in his personality) to think positively. Running any kind of business has its ups and downs. You must train yourself to stay confident and upbeat. Don't allow your emotions to take you down when you have a difficult day.
•Step 2
Think like a CEO by becoming a planner. Plan each day by asking, "What should we do next and why should we do it?" Decide who is responsible for what task. Put people in place to oversee employees under them. As your company grows, it's important to have a "chain of command."
•Step 3
Watch your words. Think before you speak. Words have power and you set the atmosphere of your work environment by the words you say. Don't make promises you can't keep. Look at the overall picture of your company goals and find out what your projected income, expense and net profit may be.
•Step 4
Respect the differences in those around you. Relate to your employees and your customers by paying attention to their personality bent. Introverts and extroverts don't think the same or act the same. Understand the differences in personalities and encourage teamwork, accountability and mutual respect among employees and management.
•Step 5
Expect quality of yourself, your company and your product or service. Improve continuously by looking for motivational resource materials, new ideas in your profession and better problem-solving techniques. Go beyond vague ideas. Get specific about ways to achieve a particular task or solve a particular problem.
What an official statement the Govt of India is giving for a minister who is travelling across borders with Rs. 8 lakh cash!! Joke..ahnn?
"It was basically because of his ignorance that he was carrying the currency. We felt that the amount - around Rs 8 lakh - is not so excessively high for holidaying with family and paying all the bills. Yes, he should have carried credit cards and other things, but he is not used to having credit cards. So all his requirement he was carrying in cash. It was in his personal capacity, not official since he was travelling with his family on a holiday, " said Lalthara adding that the state government was in touch with the Centre on the matter.

Come on...
When I read thru' the Gratitude topic in The Greatness Guide 2, I was thinking about how I used to guide & advise my two friends - 6 yr & 12 yr olds...
Check out this news article on the 6 year old girl being on the Homeland security wanted list. Some comedy show is going on & further to it,
The Thomases were allowed to fly that day, but authorities told them to contact the US Department of Homeland Security to clear up the matter. Now they've received a letter from the government addressed to 6-year-old Alyssa, telling her that nothing in her file will be changed.
Someone asked me --- What are you doing to ensure that the resources who are working with you are satisfied enough with what they are doing, feel that they are responsible/accountable for what they do?
Below initiative is from my 12 year old friend... Let's do our bit.
We just saw an incident that made us really sad.We are in Banglore right now for our summer vacations. We were playing a game of basket ball ,when something really bad met our eyes.A cow was eating plastic! We were worried about the happenings and the boys who were playing near the cow got scared and phoned the vet and asked him to come immediately. The cow was moaning and groaning terribly. The vet came and did a quick operation and told us that the cow had been food poisoned. Then he made the cow lie down and started giving it liquified oxygen. The vet called us and told that the cow may die or may not,it was in the hands of the Lord.So then we fed it with fruits and vegetables. The cow was taking rest for about a half an hour and got up and started walking after that!!!!! It was a huge relief for us when we saw that moment. So we decided that we will star a club called 'LETS SAVE OUR MOTHER EARTH'.We are going todo the following activities for the club:-
Get a paper bag to buy the products from the shop make a paper bin to put in the garbage Use a huge cardboard boxes to put in biodegradable substances,Non biodegradable, and recyclable substances and many other activities. Please have concern and start saving mother earth.Any suggetions? Please email them to me and other people.Forward this mail to any one you know cuz this is related to mother earth.LETS SAVE MOTHER EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When we go deep into listening to the person we are communicating with, when we allow them to share what they know, we have the opportunity to get behind their eyeballs & learn, grow & evolve into our highest & best...
Never put open ended question... If it is so, then try to analyze & anticipate the open ended question that will come back to you & what you'll do then...

Mistakes are sure done by every single individual but the person should realize that the mistake is done & should take all possible measures to come out of such mistakes & rectify them ASAP. Procrastination & postponing on such mistakes would end up very costly... Isn't it?

Club 99 (people who have enough to be happy but are never contented) - is this what made the world to reach to this current stage, in either way (please don’t join this club to figure-out)!!
He began to count them. After several counts, he was at last convinced that there were 99 coins. He wondered, what could've happened to that last gold coin? Surely, no one would leave 99 coins!"

The discussion went on & on in the same place for almost an hour explaining how to bring up kids, how to spend quality time with them & so on & so forth.
Are you a good leader or manager is the question which I've been asking myself & my friends & colleagues...
Once upon a time there was a painter who had just completed his course under disciple hood of a great painter. This young artist decided to assess his skills. He decided to give his best strokes on the canvass. He took 3 days and painted beautiful scenery.
He wanted people's opinion about his caliber and painting skills.
He put his creation at a busy street-crossing. And just down below a board which read-"Gentlemen, I have painted this piece. Since I'm new to this profession I might have committed some mistakes in my strokes etc. Please put a cross wherever you see a mistake."
While he came back in the evening to collect his painting he was completely shattered to see that whole canvass was filled with Xs (crosses) and some people had even written their comments on the painting.
Disheartened and broken completely he ran to his master's place and burst into tears. Sobbing and crying he told his master about what happened and showed the pathetic state of his creation which was filled with crosses and correction remarks.
This young artist was breathing heavily and master heard him saying "I'm useless and if this is what I have learnt to paint I'm not worth becoming a painter. People have rejected me completely. I feel like dying"
Master smiled and suggested "My Son, I will prove that you are a great artist and have learnt a flawless painting." Young disciple couldn't believe it and said "I have lost faith in me and I don't think I am good enough. Don't make false hopes..
"Do as I say without questioning it. It WILL work." Master interrupted him.
Young artist reluctantly agreed and two days later early morning he presented a replica of his earlier painting to his master. Master took that gracefully and smiled.
"Come with me." master said.
They reached the same street-square early morning and displayed the same painting exactly at the same place. Now master took out another board which read -"Gentlemen, I have painted this piece. Since I'm new to this profession I might have committed some mistakes in my strokes etc. I have put a box with colors and brushes just below. Please do a favor. If you see a mistake, kindly pick up the brush and correct it." Master and disciple walked back home.
They both visited the place same evening. Young painter was surprised to see that actually there was not a single correction done so far. Next day again they visited and found painting remained untouched. They say the painting was kept there for a month for no correction came in!
It is easier to criticize, but difficult to improve. If you want to help people improve their behavior it is worth investing your effort in learning how to help people change their behaviors, attitudes and skills. Also, always remember not to get carried away or judge yourself by someone else’s criticism and feel depressed. Take criticism in your stride; consider that which are genuine and implement those which you think is the best to improve you as a person!!
