You Better Sleep:)

I guess there has been one person for past 15 years who has lost his sleep to understand something about sleep:) Well, that is Dr. S Patel from Care Western University, Ohio. The research is on sleep & its loooong term effects on body weight!

Here is the conclusion and the numbers! The sample size is a lot around the range of 70,000. The samples are compared for more than like 15 years - The basis for comparison is a daily Good Night's Sleep around 7 hours and the opposite of daily less than 5 hours sleep! So, in the long run, 16 years is a bit toooooo long I guess, the bad sleepers are 30% (only?!) more likely to increase an average weight of like 33 lbs! Well, the conclusion is for Women because 70,000 number represents that section! No idea if that can be directly correlated for a man. Whatever it is. Such kind of researches get more than too much attention in this health (Slim, Diet, Fitness, Low Fat, Saturated, Trans etc) concious US market! But, the thing to notice is this research conclusion is a bit different than the general thought process! Isn't it? People usually think sleeping long hours will just increase the flabs & flesh!

I guess it's better to enjoy a peaceful sleep than to worry about becoming fat or slim:) What say, ahnn?

Oversleeping does result in obesity.
people become obese when they sleep and eat too much. hence, an optimum amount of sleep is the best. anyway, another query about US. WHAT WILL BUSH DO TO IRAN? Iraq was an easy target but iran has nuclear teeth so i guess US would note dare to fiddle with Iran. but you never know, bush is kinda'a strange. he can do anything.

Us don't want to push on Iran like they did for Iraq. They want to go over the formal channel of talks, sanctions etc. So, they are just keeping their fingers crossed with China & Russia opposing the sanctions! Its a hope that US won't just pounce on Iran!

I understand what you mean! That is why US is being very careful and taking all measures for 'talks'!
