Inside Intel '06 :(

Its something unbelievable, but I just got to digest this news I just read. Intel is ready for LayOffs. What has gone wrong?
There can be reduction in PC sales but Apple has started using Intel processors for its Mac. The Macs are also making revolutions after Apple started supporting Windows XP in its systems. So, what went wrong?
Intel's strategic change has really made the difference - it did lose market to may be AMD, which has also eventually lead to building up Intel's inventory of microprocessors. At the same time, my guess is Intel has too many human skills for its x-core business (PC Processors) which has to be restructured. The company needs a fresh set of skilled personnel for its change in direction and it is not left out with any other choice but to send some people home. Till now, I'm somewhat not happy with CEO Paul Otellini and his moves into Viiv...

I just hope, Intel won't be continuing this negative slope of profit for the future quarters to come. Whatever happens, you hearing me Intel, don't layoff your employees. They are your heart & soul!
