One of my friends was explaining how Bata is making money by putting say INR199.95 price on slippers & shoes. Now, Bata is so renowned that people throng for the same. With that kind of marked price, Bata is not only evading tax brackets & margins but also enjoying a 5 paise profit from most of the customers. It’s a loot for them…

 

Likewise, there was one ad about how Indian gas stations are stealing from customers… When you ask for Rs 100 petrol, the person controls the lever & stops at like 99.89 or 99.75 etc… If such kind of small paise is made from every single customer who stops at a gas station, yet another loot for the already heavy margin profit making oil companies…
