What? Fossil
I was told about this place called 'Fossil Rim' and my immediate cry out was, are we going to see some museum with animal bones and those old age findings? Well, if you got such an opinion too, then you too guessed it wrong.
What I'm talking about is much more lively (in literal sense) & fun. Check out this pic. Do you think its fun? How much more closer can I get to a giraffe?
It is in fact a great adventure trip with all these animals roaming around you in open space. You drive around slowly through this natural-artificial habitat of these animals. Well, the best part is you can also feed them - which makes all the animals come so close to your vehicle that its fun, exciting, adventurous, scary to touch/not touch these animals.
This place has so many varieties of animals - deer, rhino, cheetah, Zebra, Giraffe - watching every single species is worth the time spent. This place is near Dallas, Texas and ofcourse, for more info you can google it.
Let me narrate the funny & adventurous thing that happened. See this pic and just have a wild imagination. My thoughts were on to the movie 'Dude! Where's my car?' - If you haven't seen it, you better watch it.
This Ostrich is standing in the center of the road and so we were slowly closing towards it. We stood behind it for some time say for like 5 minutes. Mean while, some more vehicles have stopped behind us & so, we need to move. We slowly moved towards the left side of the road without disturbing this big one. That's it! This bird starts walking towards our car and stood right in front of us. Now, we don't have a choice, but to wait & watch this Orstrich and what it is upto with our car. It moved its head up & down, browsed the car completely and started watching all of us inside the car. (Well! the photos talks for itself)All these time, I was thinking only about the movie scenes - imagining if this bird climbs on our car, breaking one of the glasses :)) After 5 more minutes, it slowly moved towards the right of us and knocked the window glass once at the front passenger side. I was really breaking loose. If it does that once again, the glass may break. God knows, what it thought after seeing our faces inside, it started moving towards the next vehicle.
If you get a chance, just visit this place and I'm sure, you'll enjoy.
